This blog is dedicated to the ongoing ministry and partnership Ecclesia Hollywood has with Homecare Spiritual Fellowship and Ghetto Light Youth in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya.
Ecclesia has been partnered with Homecare and Ghetto Light for the past several years and this blog will serve to track the teams traveling to Kenya for our annual summer Outreach, as well as posting up-to-date information on exciting and important news regarding Kenya and these ministries.

We have arrived!
Hi friends and family and passersby-
We arrived safely in Kenya last night with only one bag (out of 40) missing! Whoohoo! We’ve hit the ground running today and after a hearty Kenyan breakfast we were off to Ngong Church where we met up with Rev. Judy from Homecare and Cheryl Lovejoy from Tirzah International (one of our sending partners). After that we headed over for a quick safari walk at a local animal sanctuary where we saw a slew of animals including albino zebras, monkeys and hyenas. The animals must have known it was Sunday because we saw a both a leopard and a lion having a lazy afternoon nap in trees. In separate areas of course. Then we zipped back to our homebase in Karen where we put together all our supplies, crafts, first aid bags, games and sports equipment because camp starts tomorrow!
Thank you so much to everyone who has been thinking about and praying for us. We ask that you continue as the work is only just beginning!
