This blog is dedicated to the ongoing ministry and partnership Ecclesia Hollywood has with Homecare Spiritual Fellowship and Ghetto Light Youth in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya.
Ecclesia has been partnered with Homecare and Ghetto Light for the past several years and this blog will serve to track the teams traveling to Kenya for our annual summer Outreach, as well as posting up-to-date information on exciting and important news regarding Kenya and these ministries.

Take a gander at some video while walking around Kibera visiting our friends from Ghetto Light.
Ever wonder what it’s like to walk through Kibera? Wonder no longer… During one of our visits our friend Peter grabbed the camera and captured these moments.
Rad little spotlight today at @ecclesiahw on Ghetto Light featuring a picture of their awesome Platinum Dance Crew.
From the spotlight: “… this gives kids (and teens and young adults) a chance to channel their energy into something positive, and get away from the negative activities of the slums. The crew has been hired by established artists to perform in music videos…”
Platinum are also now part of a dance competition show called Sakata Dance Battle which is currently airing in Kenya. As of last night they have advanced to the top 42. Join us in cheering then on!

Rob and Paula were featured on Rev. Judy’s (from Homecare) Sunday night tv show called “Family First.” She interviewed them and featured the camp in her half hour show.
